Community Involvement

Emmanuel and its members have a long standing reputation for community involvement. Whether our members volunteer for community events or our campus serves as a meeting location, Emmanuel is connected. Groups that regularly utilize Emmanuel’s facilities include:

  • Boy Scouts: Emmanuel has been the home for Troop 56 since 1970.
  • Girl Scouts: Emmanuel is also the meeting location for a local girl scouts troop.
  • National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) meets at Emmanuel on the first and third Monday of every month.
  • Red Cross: Emmanuel’s campus is a designated shelter area by the Red Cross.
  • Yoga: Emmanuel is a regular location for Clark County’s Adult Education yoga classes.

In addition to serving as a site for community events, Emmanuel’s members are very involved in the community. Members regularly volunteer with the Salvation Army, Clark County Community Service Center, Clark County Drug Coalition, Winchester/ Clark County Public Library, Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester-Clark County Chamber of Commerce, the Bluegrass Heritage Museum and much more.
